HOP Pod Vape Review Here’s a review of the HOP pod vape, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to test it. The electronic cigarette market has been booming in 2018, and as the preferred choice for smokers looking to quit, pod vapes have surged into the beginner and enthusiast circles, creating quite a stir.

As the first year of pod vapes, various manufacturers, including many big brands, have launched multiple models of their own pod vapes and nicotine e-liquid products: disposable pod vapes, pre-filled pod vapes, refillable pod vapes, and various nicotine salt e-liquids, etc.

Pod vapes are favored by many beginners primarily due to their portability and effective smoking cessation capabilities, which aligns perfectly with the original intention of electronic cigarettes, leading to their rapid popularity among friends and social circles.

Alright, enough chit-chat, let’s get to the main topic:
HOP Pod Vape Review Upon receiving the HOP pod vape, my first impression is that the packaging is quite nice, with a white top and bottom box, and the top cover features the device itself, without any unnecessary embellishments, simple and neat.

The back of the box has product parameters. For pod vapes, we mainly look at three aspects: flavor, battery life, and portability. The battery capacity is 800mAh, which is quite good and can meet the daily usage needs of most people. The charging port is a standard Android charging port, which is very convenient.

Opening the package, inside is the HOP device. This time I received the carbon fiber surface model, which looks elegant and slightly business-like. The main unit comes with one empty pod, and there’s another empty pod and a charging cable inside the packaging.

Next, there’s the product manual, which intuitively introduces the usage methods and precautions, making it very friendly for beginners.

Let’s take a look at the pod. The packaging states that the pod resistance is 1.3Ω, which should provide a decent vapor production and flavor for a pod vape. Additionally, the pod uses a traditional cotton and heating wire structure, which should offer a richer flavor compared to ceramic core pods.

The pod capacity is 2ML, which is sufficient for one or two days of use for smoking cessation.

One commendable feature of the pod is that, as shown in the picture, there is a layer of metal mesh structure at the top of the pod airway. From my experience over a few days, this structure significantly reduces condensation in the mouth. Moreover, many cotton and heating wire pods tend to spit oil when used after being left for more than a day. The metal mesh structure effectively prevents oil from spitting into the mouth, which is worth praising!

The bottom of the pod features a conductive contact point and an oil filling silicone plug, with a thin layer of silicone regulating the airflow in the middle.
HOP Pod Vape Review It seems the manufacturer considered the stability of the connection between the device and the pod, opting not to use a magnetic structure. During use, I did not experience any separation or poor contact between the pod and the device.

The HOP’s airflow switch is very sensitive, and I did not encounter any interruptions while inhaling.

The front of the device features a power button and an inhalation indicator light integrated into one structure. Pressing five times turns it on, and pressing five times again turns it off. The indicator light shows white when the battery is above 80%, blue when between 80% and 20%, and red when below 20%.

Since I have two pods, I tested two different types of nicotine salt e-liquids: Deep Sea Ice Spring Butter Tobacco and Cat Poop Coffee Nicotine Salt.

Regarding flavor, the butter tobacco is well-represented. Although the throat hit from the 50mg is not too harsh, it is slightly stronger than the zero and tpod ceramic core pod vapes. The richness is good, with the butter flavor being more pronounced than the tobacco.
HOP Pod Vape Review The Cat Poop Coffee Nicotine Salt offers a pure American coffee experience, with a very rich coffee flavor and a moderate throat hit. Among other pod vapes, this oil has a weak bitterness, and HOP has successfully captured the acidic and bitter notes of American coffee, which is excellent!

After a few days of use, I feel that the HOP pod vape performs quite well overall. It has an elegant appearance, suitable for business and office users, is compact and portable, and the battery life is sufficient for a day’s use. It feels very high-quality in hand. The flavor is excellent, at least for the dessert and tobacco e-liquids I have tried, and the draw resistance is well-tuned.
