There are many types of mechanical mods on the market, but what characteristics are the most important?   Let’s take a step-by-step look (this article is mainly suitable for players who have some understanding of mechanical mods and know the general terms; for beginners, there will be a dedicated article explaining mechanical mods in detail, so stay tuned).   1. Appearance   Appearance is always the top priority; only if you like the look of the mechanical mod can you continue to use it in the future.  What to consider when choosing a mechanical mod 2. Specifications   Should you choose a 22mm mechanical mod or a 24/25mm or other sizes? If you are sure you will only use 22mm in the future, then just choose a 22mm mechanical mod. If you are unsure, it is recommended to choose a higher specification, which can save you some money. After all, a smaller atomizer won't feel too awkward, but if the mechanical mod is one size smaller, it will feel like a small vehicle pulling a large load.   3. Grip Feel   This is particularly important, even surpassing appearance in ranking.   The mod will be in contact with our hands the longest every day, so the grip must feel refreshing. What to consider when choosing a mechanical mod   4. Button Feel   It is recommended to choose a button that feels comfortable to press; avoid those that are too hard or too soft with no tactile feedback. You can experience the feel of the mod in a physical store or ask around; this is not something to be careless about.   5. Locking Mechanism   Having a locking mechanism is a significant advantage for a mechanical mod, and the unlocking and locking methods should be simple; this is a major distinguishing feature of an excellent mechanical mod.   6. Button and Battery Contact Method   There are two types of contact methods: permanent connection and semi-connection.   Permanent connection means the battery is permanently connected to the mechanical mod's bottom contact, while the switch is inside the button.   Semi-connection means the battery is usually separated from the mechanical mod's bottom contact, and the mod only powers on when the ignition contact is pushed up.   It is strongly recommended to choose the former, as it greatly reduces the formation of carbon buildup and is generally safer.   7. Bottom Switch Type   There is no absolute saying that spring, rubber ring, or strong magnet bottom switches are better than each other.   Springs can create a better feel compared to the other two, but the quality of springs can vary!   Rubber rings can significantly reduce the length of the bottom switch and have a novel structure, but their lifespan is relatively short.   Strong magnet buttons have a longer lifespan and balanced feel, but they can attract coins when placed in pockets, which is annoying.   8. Pressure Relief Hole   Try to choose a mechanical mod with a pressure relief hole on the surface, ideally with the positive terminal facing up and the hole at the top.   9. Top Structure   Is it a straight-through type or a pin type? In today's era, this is not a major concern. If you must ask about the difference, the straight-through structure is simple and direct in output, but there may be condensation liquid seeping from the atomizer's bottom interface. The pin-type mod is more stable and less likely to cause danger at the atomizer's bottom electrode screw.   10. Material   Pure silver is the most powerful, followed by red copper, brass, stainless steel, and aviation aluminum, etc.   Of course, pure silver has the highest density, approximately 10.49g/cubic centimeter for the same volume.   Red copper has a density of about 8.9g/cubic centimeter.   Brass has a density similar to red copper, around 8.5-8.8g/cubic centimeter.   Stainless steel has a density of 8g/cubic centimeter.   Aviation aluminum has a density of 2.8g/cubic centimeter, the lightest, but has relatively poor conductivity.   The above are the differences in materials; there are also materials like white copper (藏银) and manganese steel, which are generally more expensive and will not be discussed here. What to consider when choosing a mechanical mod   11. Button Contact Material   Generally, if you have red copper, choose red copper; if you have brass, brass is fine; silver plating is also acceptable. We seek large contact points and smooth surfaces, not necessarily the material of the contact points being overly "fancy." A pure silver contact point costing hundreds of RMB, at about one centimeter in length, compared to red copper, how much can it really improve conductivity? Each player has their own thoughts on this.   12. Battery Installation Method   Positive and negative connections have been a topic of discussion among small groups of players; here, it is not a factor that can influence our selection.   13. Internal Insulation Sleeve of the Mod   With this sleeve, reverse connection mechanical mods are relatively safer, generally found in mechanical mods with reverse-connected batteries. However, if the mod is only positive connection (battery facing up, battery positive terminal contacting the atomizer positive terminal screw), then having or not having an internal insulation sleeve is not significant.   14. Power   The power of the mod is always linked to the resistance of the atomizer; power cannot be explained separately.   You cannot say that XX mod is powerful; rather, you should say that XX mod is quite powerful under XX resistance compared to other mods.   In reality,   The electrical properties of similarly constructed mods on the market are quite similar, and it is difficult for average players to perceive differences without careful observation.   Of course, do not use a mod to push an atomizer with a very high resistance; that is not what a mod is meant to do.   In summary:   If there is a perfect mod in the world, it must be like this.   With a youthful appearance, a balanced body, a comfortable grip, and a smooth ignition experience.   At the same time, its button is locked, and the locking mechanism is simple and effective.   The battery and contact points are permanently connected, internally silver-plated, with finely crafted, smooth contact points.   The pressure relief hole is located at the battery positive terminal, large enough not to compromise the mod's appearance, and the top has a pin without being bulky.   The material is pure silver with a gold-plated scratch-resistant coating...   The overall look is dazzling...
