According to Chinese electronic cigarette news, on December 5, sources revealed that the Electronic Cigarette Chamber of Commerce is currently collecting patented products from member manufacturers to prepare for the creation of the first original collective brand of electronic cigarettes in China, which will then be promoted at CES in the United States in January 2014.

The source also stated that the creation of this brand aims to gain recognition for China's innovative products among buyers.

It is understood that some manufacturers in the domestic electronic cigarette industry lack awareness of patent protection. At the end of October, a Chinese citizen registered 137 electronic cigarette patents in Spain, sparking heated discussions in the industry and causing domestic manufacturers to temporarily lose the Spanish market.

'The benefits of participating in CES in the U.S. are numerous. Firstly, it allows everyone to recognize China's patented products; secondly, it helps standardize the industry, ensuring that independently developed products are not copied,' said Huang Guihua, vice president of the Electronic Cigarette Chamber of Commerce.

CES will be held from January 7 to 10, 2014, in Las Vegas, USA. CES is the world's largest consumer technology exhibition. The 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show will feature over 3,200 manufacturers, showcasing 15 major product categories, 20 technology zones, and announcing the launch of over 20,000 new products.

Previously, over 300 companies, including Haier, Hisense, and Lenovo, formed the 'Chinese Legion' to showcase their independently innovative products.

Among A-share companies, Yiwei Lithium Energy is a leading domestic manufacturer of electronic cigarette batteries, with products primarily exported to Europe, the United States, and other regions. The company stated that it benefits from the growing overseas demand for electronic cigarettes, with battery sales performing well. Institutions estimate that Yiwei Lithium Energy's electronic cigarette battery sales will reach 400 million yuan in 2013, while the company's revenue in 2012 was 610 million yuan.

Dongfeng Motor and Shanghai Green New have also entered the electronic cigarette business, with both planning to jointly invest in a company engaged in the research and production of atomizers, while the latter plans to establish a holding company for atomizer research and production.
