The arrival of tank atomizers solved the hassle of frequent refilling for users. Over time, we have also noticed that some manufacturers include a PEI tank section among the atomizer accessories for everyone to use. That raises the question: should you choose a glass tank or a stylish PEI tank? Today, Mr. Huang will talk a bit about how to choose between these two tank materials.
Compared with today's PEI tanks, glass tanks were the earliest standard configuration on tank atomizers. Their advantage is that e-liquid can be stored in them for a long time without being affected by the material. At the same time, however, they also have drawbacks. The most common issue is breakage. A bump or drop may directly ruin the tank. Another disadvantage is that under the heat generated by the atomizer, glass may soften due to the material's physical properties. After finishing one tank of e-liquid, when you hold the tank and unscrew the top cap to refill, the heat rising from the base may soften the glass tank. Users who apply too much force may even crush the glass tank by hand. Mr. Huang himself has experienced this before, and it was very awkward.
However, the appearance of PEI tanks has changed some of this situation. Their resistance to breakage is simply a blessing for users. Put simply, PEI tanks are acrylic-type products. Because acrylic has excellent moldability, it greatly improves the appearance of the tank section, and unlike glass tanks, it is not so fragile, significantly reducing the chance of breakage. Also, PEI does not become scalding hot because of excessive atomizer heat. The heat of a glass tank really can be described as hot to the touch without any exaggeration. Although PEI reduces the chance of breakage, because of the nature of acrylic itself, if e-liquid is left in the tank for too long without being used, aging may occur and the tank may fail earlier than expected. So I suggest not leaving e-liquid in a PEI tank for too long.
Everything has two sides, so manufacturers provide both types of replacement tank materials, which greatly improves convenience for users. In actual use, the choice mainly depends on each user's habits.
