According to news from the Chinese electronic cigarette industry, a company founded by former smokers that produces e-cigarette products has announced 80 new job opportunities, stating that it will hire up to 1,000 employees within a year.
On the morning of July 3, Healthier Smoker confirmed the news of new job opportunities in Waterford, where the company is expanding its production operations, including the construction of a visitor center in the city.
Healthier Smoker stated that 40 new job opportunities will be available at 150 retail and franchise stores nationwide, while an additional 40 new job opportunities will be provided at a 24,000 square foot factory located on Six Cross Road near Waterford.
Founded two years ago, Healthier Smoker currently employs 300 staff. The company indicated that due to demand for its products in China and the United States, its rapid expansion means that by this time next year, the employee roster will reach 1,000.
Eighteen months ago, the company produced 1,000 bottles of e-liquid per week—suitable for use in e-cigarette devices—while now it can produce 50,000 bottles weekly. By this fall, the factory's weekly production of e-liquid is expected to reach 2 million bottles, and a larger factory is also anticipated.
The new factory in Waterford features a visitor center where people can observe the production process. Currently, the factory has invested 3 million euros, with total investment expected to reach 10 million euros upon completion of the expansion plan.
Spokesperson Stephen Ryan stated that Healthier Smoker is a "model" of international best practices. "Even the Chinese prefer to buy e-liquid from us rather than local manufacturers," he said. "The 95% retention rate of customers trying our e-liquid speaks volumes, and feedback from customers confirms this."
He noted that the business potential is "incredible," as Ireland has the capacity to become a "world-class center for e-liquid production."
