How Long Does 10ml of E-Liquid Last?

How long does 10ml of e-liquid last? Many people don’t know the answer, and some feel like they go through it a bit too quickly, as if 10ml disappears in no time. So how long does 10ml of e-liquid actually last? This has always been a question new users care about. To help everyone understand, here’s a quick overview of e-liquid basics.

For users of vaping devices, e-liquid is essential. As long as you use an e-cigarette, you will consume e-liquid, and it makes up the largest part of everyday usage costs. Many people considering e-cigarettes want to know how long a bottle of e-liquid can last so they can estimate their daily expenses. Some beginners also wonder whether their own consumption is too high and how it compares with others.

How long does 10ml of e-liquid last? What does “one bottle” mean?

How long can one bottle of e-liquid last? Ask different people and you’ll get countless different answers. First, let’s talk about e-liquid packaging — in other words, what capacity does “one bottle” actually refer to?

At present, common e-liquid bottle sizes on the market include 10ml, 30ml, 60ml, 120ml, and 150ml, with 10ml and 30ml being the most common. A 10ml bottle is better suited as a trial size for trying new flavors. If you like it, you can then buy a 30ml bottle for everyday use. And even if you don’t like it, a 10ml bottle is easier to deal with, whether that means giving it away or discarding it.

How long does 10ml of e-liquid last? Factors that affect e-liquid consumption

Some people ask questions like, “I use xx atomizer — is it normal to go through xx mL of e-liquid per day?” Many users also switch from prebuilt flavor atomizers to RBA atomizers. Before the switch, they may have used only about 2mL per day, but after moving to an RBA, they find their consumption rises to 4–5mL. Does that mean the coil build is wrong? Why would consumption increase so much? To understand this, we first need to look at the main factors that affect e-liquid consumption: atomizer type, resistance, power, vapor production, and frequency of use.

1. Atomizer type. Generally speaking, flavor-oriented atomizers consume less e-liquid than cloud-chasing atomizers. Prebuilt flavor atomizers consume less than RBA flavor tank atomizers. RBA tank atomizers consume less than drippers. And prebuilt flavor atomizers also consume less than prebuilt high-vapor atomizers.

2. Resistance factor. In general, the lower the coil resistance, the higher the e-liquid consumption. For example, the Nautilus Mini uses two different prebuilt coil options. Even though both are flavor-oriented coils, one is 1.8Ω and the other is 1.6Ω. At the same output voltage, the 1.6Ω coil will consume more e-liquid than the 1.8Ω coil.

How long does 10ml of e-liquid last? How long can one bottle really be used?

After all that buildup, we’ve finally reached today’s main point. Taking the currently common 30ml bottle as an example, if you pair one bottle with a flavor-focused prebuilt atomizer like the Nautilus Mini, most people will go through about one to two tankfuls per day, or roughly 3ml. That means one 30ml bottle can last about 10 days.

If you use an RBA rebuildable atomizer such as the Goblin, with a coil built from 0.32mm (28AWG) wire and a resistance above 1Ω, average users typically consume around two tankfuls per day, or about 5–8ml. In that case, one 30ml bottle will last roughly a week.

If you enjoy producing large clouds and use an ultra-low-resistance dripper or a prebuilt sub-ohm tank designed for high vapor production, then consumption will be relatively high. These kinds of atomizers require high-VG, low-nicotine e-liquid. Depending on how frequently the user vapes, daily consumption is around 10ml, so one 30ml bottle may last only about 3 days.
