According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, in December 2016 the Canadian government planned to revise the regulatory provisions in its tobacco control legislation relating to e-cigarettes, vaping products, and similar smoking devices, and to regulate such products under a separate category for more effective and stricter oversight.
It is reported that the revised provisions would include banning the sale of e-cigarettes, vaping products, similar smoking devices, and e-liquid products to minors under the age of 18. At the same time, the government would also introduce corresponding regulatory measures requiring manufacturers to print health warning labels on the outer packaging of their devices.
