HUOQI ECS vs IQOS: Which Feels More Satisfying?

 I had seen IQOS last year and had tried many e-cigarettes before, but I never really liked the flavors, so I didn't dare to buy one. Later, I went on a business trip to Tokyo and got the 2.4plus. At the airport duty-free, I bought six packs of tobacco sticks, three of which were strong flavor and three were mild flavor. I remember they were about 3000 yen per pack, which is roughly over 180 RMB. After returning home, I checked the prices of e-cigarette brands on Taobao and regretted not bringing more!

I've been using it for about three months now, replacing my previous IQOS, and I mostly smoke ECS now. When I run out of stock, I have my friend buy it for me from Japan. Differences:

 

 

 

1. Harm level: ECS is a true e-cigarette, using the general principle of e-cigarettes by vaporizing e-liquid for smoking, while IQOS heats tobacco sticks for smoking. One uses e-liquid, and the other uses tobacco sticks. Although both are relatively healthy ingredients, IQOS is closer to real cigarettes and contains tar. The harmful substances after heating are greatly reduced compared to real cigarettes, but there is still the risk of secondhand smoke.

 

 

 

2. Taste: ECS has a fresh tobacco flavor. Their burst beads are impressive, especially in summer when using mouthpieces with burst beads, the taste is particularly refreshing. IQOS only offers mint flavor. In terms of smoking experience, IQOS is the closest to real cigarettes because it heats tobacco sticks, giving you the warmth of smoking real cigarettes, while ECS is purely an e-cigarette.

 

 

 

3. Price: I have my friends buy it for me from Japan. A complete set of IQOS costs about 1300 RMB, while ECS is basically half the price of IQOS, making it quite cost-effective. For someone like me, who is a long-time smoker and wants to quit, ECS is relatively affordable. It is said that ECS will also start selling in China, and the price seems even more affordable. 4. Convenience: IQOS requires cleaning after each use because it produces ash when heated. If not handled in time, it can easily damage the device, while ECS is much more convenient. 5. Purchase and after-sales: IQOS is not available in China; we all buy it through agents, so purchasing and after-sales are a hard issue. The ECS I am currently using was developed and produced domestically. It was initially launched in the hot-selling Japanese market to see if ECS could compete with IQOS. Surprisingly, it became very popular within just three months. The owner of the ECS specialty store in Japan said that user feedback has been very positive, and it will soon be sold widely in China. After various inquiries, I learned that ECS is a new product from HUOQI, and given their reputation, I don't have to worry about after-sales issues.
