How is the EVOVE e-cigarette? E-cigarette developer “Jingyan Technology” has completed a RMB 20 million Pre-A financing round, led by Moving Capital. The funds will mainly be used for the development of next-generation products under Jingyan Technology’s EVOVE (Yiwu) brand, team upgrades, and domestic and international channel expansion.
It is reported that Jingyan Technology was founded in 2016 and received RMB 5 million in angel funding from Bopai Capital at the beginning of its establishment. The company focuses on atomization technology R&D and brand building based on atomization technology applications. Its atomization technologies include functional ingredient inhalation devices and drug delivery systems. Based on its self-developed atomization and other related technologies, Jingyan Technology launched its first e-cigarette brand, EVOVE, in the UK last month.
The EVOVE e-cigarette uses a built-in gravity acceleration chip. Users can tap the device twice to display the battery level, and tap it four times to switch power modes.
Public information shows that the EVOVE e-cigarette had already launched in the European market and earned a strong reputation. In China, however, because the market is still not fully educated, EVOVE adopted a crowdfunding model on JD Crowdfunding. As of now, the crowdfunding campaign for EVOVE’s first compact vaping device has successfully ended, with final completion exceeding 1000%.
At present, Jingyan Technology already plans to establish a joint venture R&D company and cooperate with overseas major tobacco companies, while the company itself remains focused on the development of core e-cigarette technologies. Liu Jihui said, “‘Smoking’ involves both physiological and psychological satisfaction, so user experience is very important. At this stage, e-cigarettes are still not the final form of new tobacco products, and there is still a lot of room for product improvement.”
