Everything you want to know about vape atomizers is here! This article introduces the classification of atomizers, the working principles of atomizers, and knowledge for purchasing atomizers. The English name for an atomizer is Atomizer, which is one of the essential components of vaping devices. Therefore, to master vaping, one needs to have a thorough understanding of atomizers.

Vape atomizers ------ Classification of atomizers:

A. Pre-made atomizers (sub ohm tanks)

B. RBA atomizers (Rebuildable atomizers)

RBAs can be divided into:

① RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer)

② RDA (Rebuildable Drip Atomizer)

③ RDTA (Rebuildable Drip Tank Atomizer)

Vape atomizers ------ Atomizers can also be classified based on the characteristics of their heating cores:

① Pre-made atomizers use disposable heating cores that are compatible with the atomizer, hence they are called pre-made atomizers (mostly oil storage atomizers). They generally do not come with a DIY base (some products come with DIY components separately), and due to structural issues, while they can be reset, the performance after resetting is generally hard to reach the original effect and requires a longer time.

② RBA atomizers, also known as rebuildable heating core atomizers, do not come with pre-made heating cores and require users to create their own heating wire coils and install the heating wire coils with wicking cotton. Based on their structure, they can be divided into RTA, RDA, and RDTA types.

RTA is a rebuildable tank atomizer, RDA is a rebuildable drip atomizer, and RDTA is a drip atomizer with a tank.

Vape atomizers ------ Structural characteristics of RBAs:

The structure of pre-made atomizers generally consists of a drip tip, top cap, oil tank, pre-made atomizer core, and base.

RTA atomizers generally consist of a drip tip, top cap, atomization chamber, oil tank, and electrode platform base.

RDA atomizers generally consist of a drip tip, atomization chamber top cap, atomization chamber, and electrode platform base.

RDTA atomizers generally consist of a drip tip, atomization chamber top cap, atomization chamber, electrode platform, and bottom oil tank.

For large vapor atomizers, the airflow is generally wider (or has no airflow), and the space within the atomization chamber and the intake port is larger, allowing for better mixing of vapor and air, resulting in larger vapor volume. The flavor tends to be richer, but since they are generally used with lung hits, the time vapor stays in the mouth is shorter, leading to a slight decrease in fullness and clarity.

Vape atomizers ------ Purchasing suggestions for atomizers:

1. Pre-made atomizers are more suitable for beginners or players who do not have the time (or do not want) to make heating wires due to their stable flavor and simple operation.

2. RTA atomizers have developed into two distinct categories. On one hand, there are those that focus on tasting the flavor of e-liquids, and on the other hand, there are those that aim for large vapor production while also wanting a certain battery life. The simplest way to distinguish is to look at the size of the airflow intake to determine whether it is a mouth-to-lung flavor atomizer or a direct-lung large vapor atomizer.

3. RDA drip atomizers also have a similar division, and players can distinguish whether it is a large vapor drip atomizer or a flavor atomizer based on the size of the atomization chamber and airflow intake. Generally, the smaller the atomization chamber and airflow intake, the more it is a flavor-oriented drip atomizer.

4. RDTA atomizers add a storage tank below the RDA atomizer to improve the low e-liquid capacity issue of RDA atomizers using cotton wicks.

Over the years, atomizers have evolved to meet player needs, resulting in various styles, from beginner-friendly pre-made atomizers to flavor-oriented mouth-to-lung atomizers and large vapor direct-lung atomizers. Continuous structural innovations aim to provide players with a better experience.
