E-Cigarette Vapor Has Minimal Impact on Consumers’ Lung Cells (Photos)

According to British American Tobacco, extensive research by the company’s scientists has shown that under normal consumer use conditions, the vapor generated by e-cigarette products does not harm consumers’ lung cells. These findings were covered in two recent papers published by BAT researchers.
In their studies and tests, BAT researchers found that even when using highly unrealistic high doses of e-cigarette vapor, the results still showed that the harm to consumers’ lung cells was far lower than that caused by conventional cigarette smoke.
In response, a company executive named Chris Proctor said that given the rapid development of e-cigarettes in recent years, the company will introduce new products using technology that heats nicotine-containing e-liquid to release vapor, in order to meet consumer demand for such new products.
