Relx Daily E-Cigarette Maintenance: Shake Off Condensation, Return It If It Really Leaks
In this issue, we answer many common questions about cartridges. The issue users report most often is leakage, and it has also been one of our key concerns since the early product design stage. By adopting a dual-isolation design, we aimed to keep leakage
In this issue, we will address many questions regarding pods, with the most common feedback being about "leaking oil." However, during the initial product design phase, we aimed to solve the "leaking oil" issue by adopting a dual isolation design to keep the leaking situation in natural environments below 1%.
Next, we will provide identification methods for whether there is leaking oil and solutions:
1. Condensation is to blame for leaking oil
[Condensation] is determined by the working principle of e-cigarettes, while [leaking oil] is a quality or installation issue of the pod; these two are fundamentally different.
What is condensation? How is it produced?
Condensation is the liquid formed when the e-liquid is atomized but not inhaled, where PG (propylene glycol) in the e-liquid condenses in the air, containing a small amount of e-liquid, which can give a sweet and stimulating sensation when inhaled, leading users to mistakenly believe there is leaking oil.
Impact of condensation on the device:
If condensation is not cleared for a long time, it can affect the heating of the device, causing the device to heat up.
Differences between condensation and leaking oil:
Condensation and leaking oil may appear similar externally but are easy to distinguish. The main differences are as follows:
Here are specific ways to differentiate between condensation accumulation and leaking oil:
Vapor sound: During the heating process of atomization, a "gurgling" sound indicates condensation accumulation;
Liquid color: Wipe with a tissue at the connection between the pod and the device; e-liquid is light yellow, while condensation is dark brown;
Location: Condensation typically accumulates at the connection between the pod and the device.
How to resolve issues caused by condensation?
Handling condensation falls under device maintenance and can be resolved in the following ways:
Wipe the connection between the "device" and the "pod" with a tissue (while confirming whether it is condensation accumulation);
Shake the device with the pod facing down to expel the accumulated condensation;
(Shake the device with the pod facing down to expel accumulated condensation)
The RELX pod-based vaporizer has minimized the damage caused by condensation accumulation through pod replacement. Daily care for your device is still essential.
2. Pressure changes may cause pod leaking
Pressure changes are a leaking issue that is currently difficult to avoid, but we are trying to address it with supplementary products.
Situations where pressure changes may cause pod leaking:
Changes in environmental pressure can lead to slight leaking of e-liquid:
Altitude changes (e.g., flying, climbing) can cause slight e-liquid leakage;
Solution:
Keep the outer packaging of unused pods intact (capsule): When RELX users receive pods, they will see that each pod is lying in a capsule, which maintains constant pressure and greatly reduces the risk of leaking;
Use other tools to create a sealed environment for the pods, such as a sealed box: Placing the pods in a sealed box can help mitigate leaking issues.
