China's First Domestic E-Cigarette Expo to Be Held in Shenzhen Next Year

　　 The first “Shenzhen International E-Cigarette Industry Expo” will be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from April 15 to 17, 2015. Reporters learned from the organizing committee that although the event is still six months away, this emerging trade show has already attracted nearly 70 e-cigarette companies, including SMOK, Shenzhen Baoweidao, Kunshida, Qisai, Kaimingrui, Simeiyue, Hengwansheng, Gelinyunda, Yixijia, Boyi Technology, Guangzhou Rongcheng Battery Cell, Hange Battery, Fengteng Weiye, Guangzhou Pinyan, Huizhou Xinyu Technology, RICHY, and Boneng Technology.

　　 According to organizers, China is a major e-cigarette manufacturing country, and Shenzhen is home to a large concentration of e-cigarette manufacturers, with more than 1,000 e-cigarette production companies in the city. The world’s largest e-cigarette manufacturer is also based in Shenzhen. Previously, 95% of e-cigarettes made in China were exported overseas, while the domestic Chinese market remains a blue ocean awaiting development. According to statistics, sales of traditional cigarettes in China are close to 1.2 trillion yuan. Assuming e-cigarettes eventually capture 5% of the domestic traditional tobacco market, the e-cigarette market would have a capacity of 60 billion yuan. Faced with such an attractive and enormous market opportunity, a professional trade exhibition will become the most direct and effective showcase platform for the industry.
