Which Country Has the Widest Distribution of Vape Shops? Not the United States! (Photos)

France has a wider distribution of vape shops than the United States, according to the latest report from ECigIntelligence.

The country has more vape shops per 10,000 square miles and per capita than both the U.S. and the U.K.

This study is the second edition of ECigIntelligence's annual survey on the evolution of vape shops in the U.S., comparing the total number of vape shops in each state with those in each district of France and each county in the U.K.

The report shows that France has more vape shops than both the U.S. and the U.K., both regionally and per capita.

In the U.S., there are significant differences between states. Some states have a high density of shops but low representation in terms of population, especially in some small states along the Atlantic coast that have high population density.

In terms of vape shops per million people, no county in the U.K. is as low as those in the U.S., but many lag behind France.

“In terms of regional variability, France may be the most advanced and equitable market,” the report states. “While the per capita distribution is high and widespread, there are significant differences in the number of vape shops per 10,000 square miles; however, overall, France's grouping is tighter than that of the U.K. and the U.S.”

The report excluded London, Paris, and New Jersey from international comparisons due to their potential to skew results.

The report analyzed the distribution of vape shops in the U.S. from 2015 to 2016. The survey found that, overall, there has been significant growth, but in some states, it remains difficult to access vaping products.
