U.S. Health Department Focuses on the Impact of Vapor Products on Youth

According to The Washington Post, the United States Department of Health and Human Services has recently been paying close attention to the impact of e-cigarette products and similar smoking devices on adolescents in the country. In an interview with the media, an official from the department pointed out that such products pose a major public health issue for young people.
In this regard, the U.S. health authorities believe that nicotine-containing products, including e-cigarettes, are not safe products, yet too many American teenagers are using them. U.S. federal data show that 16% of high school students had tried e-cigarette products in 2015. Their analysis suggests that e-cigarettes have become a relatively common form of tobacco use among young people in the United States.
