On June 26, 2018, the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce held the "2018 First E-Cigarette Industry Standard Promotion Conference" in Xixiang, Bao'an. More than 100 member units, industry enterprises, and related practitioners attended the meeting. A relevant person in charge from the Bao'an Bureau of Market Supervision and Administration of Shenzhen was invited to explain market supervision regulations and industrial support policies in Bao'an District.
First, Deputy Director Zheng Suihua of the Bao'an Bureau of Market and Quality Supervision delivered a speech at the meeting, expressing views on the current status and existing problems in the e-cigarette industry, and proposed three suggestions: first, to improve product quality and win with quality; second, to enhance awareness of standards and seize the right to speak on standards; third, to strive to create own brands and strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights. He also hoped that the E-Cigarette Industry Committee could play a role in uniting the industry, strengthening communication and cooperation among all parties, and guiding e-cigarette enterprises to operate in a standardized manner. He also expressed hope that the e-cigarette industry, as a sunrise industry with broad market prospects, could develop rapidly and healthily.
Afterwards, Director Rao Yuan of the Quality Section of the Bao'an Bureau of Market and Quality Supervision shared the "Industrial Policies and Operating Procedures Related to the Quality Section." The content included four major categories: 1. Supporting rewards for national, provincial, and municipal quality awards; 2. Operating procedures for the Bao'an District Mayor's Quality Award; 3. Funding operating procedures for the implementation of excellent performance management standards; 4. Operating procedures for brand awards in Bao'an District. Finally, he encouraged e-cigarette enterprises to pursue high-quality development!

The content included the legal basis for self-declaration of standards, methods for viewing and applying for standard registration on the platform, cancellation and abolition of self-declaration of standards, standard public notice systems, and points to note; as well as the policy basis for implementing standardization strategy rewards, various reward amounts, processes for obtaining rewards, and basic application materials.
The Director of the Intellectual Property Section, Guo Weiming, shared the "Promotion of Intellectual Property Support and Reward Policies in Bao'an District." According to the "Implementation Measures for Innovation-Driven Development in Bao'an District" (Articles 7 and 8), there are seven types of rewards: patent annual fee rewards, overseas patent rewards, special rewards for intellectual property management, excellent intellectual property service agency rewards, excellent intellectual property enterprise rewards, awarded patent rewards, and intellectual property incubation base rewards. The promotion content included the target of the reward policy; the expression, conditions, and standards of the reward policy; application materials and notes.
