Wotofo Nudge RDA Review

I’ve had the Nudge RDA for quite a while and have been using it for a long time. It’s actually been some time since we last heard much from the Nudge line, but WOTOFO’s first collaboration with Suck My Mod—the SMM RTA tank—won over many users with its exc

I have been using the Nudge RDA for a long time. It has been a while since I heard news about the Nudge atomizer, but previously, the first collaboration between Suck My Mod and WOTOFO, the SMM RTA, gained a lot of attention from domestic players due to its excellent post and airflow design. Recently, the collaboration between Suck My Mod and WOTOFO has been upgraded again. So, in this issue, I will share the second product from the collaboration between Suck My Mod and WOTOFO—NUDGE RDA.

The packaging of NUDGE is in WOTOFO's consistent style, with a striking gray and green combination. The front of the packaging features a handsome man's profile photo, with the atomizer name NUDGE RDA prominently displayed. Looking back, the packaging of SMM RTA was also quite eye-catching.     Inside the packaging, there is one NUDGE atomizer body, one 510 drip tip adapter, a pack of spare O-rings and screws, a pack of fancy coils, a pack of cotton, a product card, and a user manual.     The NUDGE atomizer has a diameter of 24mm and a total height of about 30mm (including the drip tip). The size is quite standard and not too small, but the top of the chamber has a small waist design, making the atomizer look more coordinated. Wotofo Nudge RDA Review     The NUDGE atomizer can be divided into three parts:     1. 810 universal drip tip     2. Aluminum alloy chamber     3. Base working platform     The design is simple and easy to clean. The NUDGE features a centrally adjustable side airflow design, but the airflow holes are located on the middle and lower sides of the chamber, with a size of about 7x4mm. The airflow holes have large chamfering around them, which not only prevents sharp edges but also enhances the atomizer's aesthetics. The adjustable airflow of NUDGE does not have a separate adjustment top cap; instead, it adjusts the airflow size by rotating the chamber. However, after actual experience, it was found that due to internal electrode reasons, it cannot fully close, resulting in the minimum airflow being only half of the airflow. However, NUDGE is designed for large vapor production, and the minimum half airflow experience does not feel too airy. The base of the NUDGE is also the most significant highlight of the entire atomizer.

The base sidewall adopts a structure that combines the coil platform and airflow holes, with the screws and coils arranged in a Z shape. This structure is familiar in European and American atomizers and allows for simplified parts and efficient use of internal space. However, the downside is that the coil space is limited, and for someone like me with clumsy hands, it takes some time to regain the feel of coiling. The triangular design of the middle coil platform and the horizontal structure of the oil outlet holes make it easier for e-liquid to flow to both ends of the cotton, whether simply dripping or using a bottom-fill device, and it is not easy to cause e-liquid to splash out due to excessive pressure on the bottle.

Additionally, this design also guides airflow upwards, with the side airflow blowing directly onto the coils, with an airflow hole width of about 7mm, and can be adjusted by horizontal rotation. Due to the size limitations of the sidewall, even at the smallest setting, there is still nearly 3mm width. Since the coil platform's width only allows for a maximum diameter of about 3mm coils, the distance between the airflow holes ensures direct airflow to the coils, but it also makes the chamber walls more prone to condensation and leaking.

The semi-open C-shaped locking holes minimize the difficulty of coiling, but the recent RDAs I have used have either raised coil platforms or hollow structures, so I need to adjust the length of the leads before coiling. The non-stepped locking holes and screws can easily push the leads out of the holes, requiring more care during setup.

Moreover, due to the lack of a locking structure between the atomizer chamber and the base, after using it for a while, it may become difficult to remove the atomizer from the device due to the friction reduction caused by e-liquid on the connection point. You can only remove the atomizer chamber and use your fingers to hold the outer coil platform to turn it. This can lead to e-liquid on your hands and a small contact area, causing some discomfort on your fingertips.

Although I do not have the Nudge BF Box, the color matching is quite harmonious. This time I used N80 26ga + 40ga*2 braided wire, but the overly soft wire is not conducive to shaping and adjusting positions with the Nudge. Fortunately, after spending some time coiling, the flavor is quite rewarding. With the airflow holes opened to the maximum, the vapor production increases accordingly, maintaining a balance between airflow and evaporation without feeling hollow. As the airflow decreases, the moist and thick vapor, paired with Sprint's strawberry cheesecake, provides a rich experience that is perfect for the current temperature.

Furthermore, the triangular structure of the central coil platform directs airflow into the inner side of the coils, preventing residual heat from lingering, and even with smaller airflow holes, it significantly reduces condensation. Additionally, the included drip tip is thick enough that during use, the relatively thin outer chamber wall does not burn the lips or hands.

In summary, the characteristics of the Nudge RDA are as follows:     . The airflow resistance ranges from 1 to 11, falling within the 4 to 8 range     . The flavor is slightly concentrated for large vapor production     . The variety of colors pairs well with devices     . The simple structure makes it easy to use and clean     . The triangular structure of the central coil platform has good guiding effects for dripping and airflow     There are also some designs that are difficult to define:     . The connection method between the outer chamber and the base could be improved     . The side airflow holes are more prone to condensation or leaking on the chamber walls     . The limited space for coiling can be a bit troublesome for dual-coil setups     . The adaptability to soft wires and opposing coil directions is slightly lower     Based on the official website's information on the 22mm version, these points have almost all been improved.     This is also the reason I mentioned at the beginning, that the 22mm version is more appealing to me.     This concludes my review of the Wotofo Nudge RDA.     I hope this article helps players better understand its features.
