Today, I would like to introduce the KURRY fruit series e-liquids: Grape Mango, Orange, Strawberry, Fuji Apple, and Pear. This series focuses on fruit flavors, emphasizing freshness and sweetness without being cloying, based on feedback from numerous users.
The packaging gives the impression of a set version, showing considerable sincerity. All labels on the packaging are very clear, but the biggest issue is the lack of indication of the production location. Upon opening the package, the bottle is quite soft, making it easy to squeeze, but the design is somewhat simple and lacks visual appeal. The bottle cap has some defects, making it difficult to tighten, which may be an isolated incident.
Since this set includes five flavors of e-liquid, I will briefly share my experience with each one without going into too much detail. The five flavors are Pear, Grape Mango, Orange, Strawberry, and Fuji Apple. I used the "Killing Time" atomizer (3-core Clapton, 5 wraps, 3.0 resistance, 0.12) and the 528 atomizer (2-core Clapton, 5 wraps, 3.0 resistance, 0.17), and the "Avenger" finished atomizer (0.2 resistance) for a simple ranking based on my taste: Pear, Grape Mango, Orange, Strawberry, Fuji Apple. Kurry Fruit E-Liquid Review Report
1. Pear: This flavor feels like the best representation in this series, closely resembling the taste of rock candy pear. The pear flavor is excellently captured, with the initial taste of pear skin and a subtle sourness from the pear core. It performs best in the "Killing Time" atomizer, though it is slightly mild. In the 528, the sweetness comes out, but it is a bit too much, and the aftertaste is lacking. However, it performs best in the "Avenger" with good sweetness and authenticity.
2. Grape Mango: I find this oil quite creative, as grape-flavored e-liquids often have a synthetic taste that is hard to resolve. In this oil, the main flavor leans towards the mango skin, while the grape flavor provides sweetness. Overall, the concept is quite good, but the authenticity is slightly lacking. In the "Killing Time," the authenticity is acceptable, but the sweetness is a bit excessive. In the 528, it completely tastes like mango candy, losing the grape flavor. The performance in the "Avenger" is also quite average, indicating that this oil lacks precision in its flavor balance.
3. Orange: The orange flavor in this oil is well-represented, with a sweet and fragrant initial taste. However, the aftertaste has a strange flavor, somewhat rubbery, and the raspberry flavor is not well-handled, leading to significant issues with the aftertaste. This oil performs slightly better in the 528, with less raspberry flavor.
4. Strawberry: This oil is actually better than the orange in many aspects, but since I personally do not like strawberry flavors, especially strawberry yogurt, I ranked it lower. This oil combines strawberry and yogurt flavors, avoiding the rotten strawberry taste found in some products, with a moderate level of authenticity and sweetness. Friends who enjoy strawberry yogurt should definitely try this e-liquid.
5. Fuji Apple: The biggest drawback of this oil is its mildness, almost like pure glycerin. The Fuji apple flavor is supposed to be sweet and juicy, but this oil only captures the juiciness, lacking the sweetness entirely. The flavor is too mild and unsatisfying. Initially, I worried it was my taste buds, but after letting a friend try it, they found the same issue; the apple flavor is only faintly present, making it very unsatisfying.
Advantages: Gift box set, convenient for gifting; exquisite packaging; no rough synthetic taste.
Disadvantages: Some flavors have serious formulation issues affecting overall quality; bottle caps need improvement.
Summary: Overall, this series of e-liquids does not have any that are outstandingly good, but the average quality is decent. The poorly performing e-liquids are not terrible but also not enjoyable, making them worth trying for fruit flavor enthusiasts.
I received a set called Kurry fruit e-liquid gift box, which includes five flavors: one large bottle and four small bottles. The large bottle allows for indulgence, while the small bottles provide a chance to experience before purchasing. I chose the Pear flavor for the 100ML large bottle, as pear-flavored e-liquids are relatively rare, and the pear is also known as the European pear, adding a hint of mystery. The other four flavors are Strawberry, Fuji Apple, Orange, and Grape Mango, each 10ML, totaling 140ML, perfect for spring!
The gift box packaging looks grand, but the internal craftsmanship could be improved, as the e-liquids were not securely fixed and were moving around during transit.
The official promotional image claims "imported ingredients, complete flavors, plant extraction, and institutional certification." If this is indeed the case, this series of e-liquids can score high on safety, allowing users to enjoy with peace of mind.
Testing Equipment:
Setup: Triple-core Ni80 material, Clapton dual coil 0.1 ohm, 90W
Pear: Upon opening, there is a faint pear aroma, which is slightly sweet, hinting at sugar or beverage rather than pure fruit. Upon inhalation, it has a light sweetness with a slight throat hit. The aftertaste is a full pear flavor that stimulates the taste buds and olfactory cells, reminiscent of the juicy, fragrant texture of the pear, even capturing the unique taste of pear skin. However, after prolonged use, a slight bitterness may linger in the mouth. This oil has a high authenticity, reflecting the sweetness of the European pear, though the sweetness could be slightly higher. The smoothness is decent, with almost no cooling effect.
Fuji Apple: The aroma upon opening is that of green apple, resembling apple soda. Upon inhalation, the rich apple flavor fills the mouth, followed by a noticeable throat hit, possibly due to sufficient nicotine. The exhalation combines carbonation and fruit aroma, akin to apple soda. I am unsure if this carbonation sensation is also due to the nicotine, but it is quite enjoyable, especially for those who have smoked traditional cigarettes, as the mild stimulation is very satisfying. This oil has almost no cooling effect, making it suitable for this season. Rather than calling it Fuji apple flavor, I think "apple soda" would be more fitting. Some may find it a bit harsh on the throat, but I personally enjoy it.
Orange: This oil seems to be a mix of orange with blueberries and raspberries. Upon opening, there is no astringency, just a sweet and sour orange flavor. Upon inhalation, the orange flavor is present, but it is somewhat sweet and not very authentic. The aftertaste quickly shifts to a mixed flavor with hints of blueberry, but not entirely. There seems to be a cooling agent added, but not excessively, making it comfortable. Overall, this oil gives the impression of being overly synthetic, with a less authentic fruit flavor, leading to a poor experience.
Strawberry: The aroma is a familiar strawberry scent. Upon inhalation, the vapor is sweeter than the other flavors, providing a satisfying mouthfeel. As I exhale, the sweetness quickly diminishes, and the strawberry aroma becomes prominent, though this aroma is not entirely representative of fresh strawberries, having a synthetic taste or resembling strawberry soft candy. The cooling effect is very low.
Grape Mango: The aroma is distinctly mango, with a hint of grape. Upon inhalation, the rich fruit aroma is present, with sweetness similar to previous grape oils. As I exhale, the mango flavor takes over, resembling ripe mango rather than green mango, and the exhaled vapor is equally rich, leaving a mango flavor in the mouth with very low cooling. Later, I specifically tested it with a flavor-oriented RDA, and the mango flavor was even more pronounced, overshadowing the grape flavor, though the mango was not as ripe when inhaled.
The Kurry fruit series has its surprises and disappointments, especially with the standout performance of Fuji apple. Some may wonder if the throat hit is due to insufficient blending, but I believe it is not, as the other four flavors do not have this sensation. It seems to be a deliberate choice by the flavorist, which I personally enjoy. My personal preference ranking for this set is Fuji Apple > Pear = Grape Mango > Strawberry > Orange.
Since 2017, new e-liquids have been emerging rapidly, especially domestic brands. Some focus on imitation and trends, while others are dedicated to product quality, and players are quite discerning. Kurry's e-liquids show some immaturity, with flavors being relatively simple or composed of one or two fruit blends, but it is evident that the manufacturer is putting effort into product development. The flavors are generally light, suitable for prolonged use without becoming overwhelming, with the exception of Orange, which I rated lower. The other flavors are generally above average, with 2-3 being staple choices, particularly the standout performance of Fuji Apple. I will continue to pay attention to this brand's new products. A small regret is that I did not choose the large bottle of Fuji Apple, which is a bit disappointing...
Written by: Li Yangguang
KURRY series e-liquid review
Reviewer: Li Yangguang
E-cigarette experience: Since April 2017
Daily preference for e-liquid types: Fruit and dairy flavors.
I received a large 120ml bottle of strawberry flavor along with four small bottles, all 3MG, with a 30ML, 73VG/PG ratio.
1. Aroma
Upon opening the bottle, a strong synthetic aroma mixed with ripe mango is evident, with no grape flavor present.
2. Drip
Dripping a drop on the back of my hand, I tasted ripe mango with a hint of grape skin and a slight minty coolness.
3. Inhale
Due to limited equipment, this time I only conducted a single armed data test with a dual-core Clapton 3.0, 7 wraps. This is my unique testing data. Upon inhalation, the sweet mango flavor is prominent, with no excessive sweetness. Exhaling reveals grape aroma and sweetness, accompanied by a slight coolness, with no strong throat hit.
First, regarding the strawberry flavor, this oil has a consistent taste across both atomizers, resembling strawberry milk candy, with a bit more acidity than Alps candy, without being overly sweet or having a strong nicotine hit. It provides a smooth experience similar to other fruit e-liquids. I believe this oil is not aimed at replicating the natural strawberry flavor but rather at capturing the essence of strawberry candy. Even in the Asvape atomizer, the freshness does not quite reach its peak, but those who enjoy strawberry candy will likely appreciate this oil, which has a good overall smoothness.
Next, regarding the four small bottles, the best one to vape is Grape Mango, which I absolutely love. It performs well in both atomizers, with the Asvape allowing for a delightful mango sweetness, which I perceive as ripe mango, without excessive sweetness or synthetic taste, feeling very natural. Upon exhalation, the grape aroma and sweetness come through, reminiscent of grape with skin, accompanied by a slight coolness, providing a smooth experience without the harshness found in the other two single-flavor oils. The performance of Orange Blueberry is also commendable, with a noticeable orange flavor upon inhalation, though not entirely authentic, resembling orange juice, while the exhalation reveals a mix of blueberry and raspberry flavors. The performance of Apple and Pear is average, with a strong nicotine presence causing slight discomfort in the throat, giving a somewhat overripe sensation.
Summary: The differences in quality among these e-liquids are quite pronounced, with some being excellent and others being difficult to vape. I hope that future product releases can maintain a consistent quality level; otherwise, it may lead to a skewed perception. However, these two mixed flavors are indeed worth trying. #p#Pagination Title#e#
