Icy Blueberry E-Liquid Review

I have tried several blueberry e-liquids, from Blue Sea’s Blueberry Capsule to Moku Blueberry and Papa’s Blueberry Impression. Each has its own distinctive flavor profile, and the liquid colors vary as well. Blueberry Capsule and Moku Blueberry are blue,

I have tried several blueberry-flavored e-liquids, from Blue Ocean's blueberry burst to Magic Blueberry and then to Pop's Blueberry Impression. Each has its own unique characteristics, and the colors of the e-liquids vary in depth. Blueberry Burst and Magic Blueberry are blue, while Blueberry Impression is light yellow. So what kind of surprise will Litchung's Ice Blueberry bring us? Let's wait and see.

  Packaging

The packaging is very simple. When I received it, it was just a 30ml dropper glass bottle. The e-liquid is a very bright red color, resembling thick watermelon juice. The front has a transparent label indicating the manufacturer is Litchung and the product name is Blueberry Ice. The bottom says nicotine 0.3mg? Is that a mistake? It should be 3mg, right?

The back has a Chinese label with some information about the origin and product details. The production date is February 2018, with a shelf life of 2 years, and the origin is the USA. The labeling is very detailed, but it lacks the VG and PG ratios. Personally, I feel it is about 70/30.

  Inhalation Experience

Similar to most packaging currently on the market, the Ice Blueberry bottle cap does not have a plastic seal, and the cap is designed for single-use. Before opening, you can smell the sweet blueberry scent without having to get close to the bottle opening.

After opening the cap, the aroma is even richer, resembling the blueberry jam on a blueberry sundae, sweeter and more intense than blueberry xylitol, with a fresh blueberry scent that carries a hint of the fruit's natural acidity, which is quite pleasant.

Device data: B17 mechanical mod, "Fat" atomizer, triple-core Clapton coil 0.31 ohm, power unknown, but it is a fully charged C6 battery.

On the inhale: The tip of the tongue can clearly feel a slightly sour and sweet taste. The vapor is full and smooth, with no irritation, and the coolness is relatively low.

On the exhale: The vapor is quite large, with blueberry mixed with a hint of mint. The acidity is more pronounced on the tip of the tongue, with a slightly lower sweetness and moderate coolness. When taking big puffs, there is a slight irritation in the throat that disappears quickly. This sensation is not the kind of throat hit from nicotine but resembles the feeling left in the throat after drinking carbonated beverages, with a slight tickle.

On the aftertaste: The flavor left in the mouth is quite refreshing, with a slight astringency that disappears quickly, while the coolness lingers longer, gradually intensifying with each puff.

Device data: SMOK X-PRIV mod, Hadaly V1 atomizer, dual-core Clapton coil 0.34, power 46W. Under this data, the experience is basically similar to that on the "Fat" atomizer, with no significant differences. Both the blueberry fruitiness and the hint of mint are quite noticeable, while the sweetness remains low and not very pronounced.

  Carbon Build-Up and Residue

During a day and a half of use, mainly with the "Fat" atomizer, I added e-liquid 4 times, about 8ml in total. The cotton used is "Lightning Cotton." I could clearly taste the burnt flavor before disassembling the atomizer. Personally, I feel that carbon build-up is well controlled, with almost no residue, but the pigment precipitation is quite noticeable. I hope the manufacturer can control the amount of pigment used; regardless of its safety, less is always better.

  Conclusion

The e-liquid contains pigments, and in this health-conscious era, e-liquids with pigments are gradually fading from the market. I suggest that manufacturers can use colored bottles while keeping the e-liquid in its original color. The flavor is extremely rich, and it doesn't get tiresome even after long sessions. Although the color is different from other blueberry e-liquids, adopting a bright red color, it focuses more on restoring the original flavor of blueberries. As the weather gradually warms up, the moderate coolness is exactly what we need. Those who enjoy refreshing fruity flavors can give it a try.
