GHOST VAPE E-Liquid Review
Winter has been here for a while now, but for me, living in the south, it hardly feels like winter at all. The temperature here still stays around 10°C to over 20°C, and even on the coldest days, a light jacket is more than enough. I once told a friend from the north that “temperatures in the low teens feel really cold,” and got instantly roasted for it… Thinking back to childhood, though, winter felt much more distinct. Whenever the weather turned cold, street vendors selling sugar-roasted chestnuts and “braised sweet potatoes” (basically roasted sweet potatoes) would appear. They pushed sheet-metal carts with huge iron woks, furiously stir-frying chestnuts over high heat while burying the sweet potatoes in the hot black sand to roast them through. Buying a piping-hot roasted sweet potato wrapped in a paper bag, holding it in both hands as the warmth spread through your palms, eating it while walking along—the sweet, fragrant flavor and the instant warmth it brought to your whole body was such a simple kind of happiness.
So when I saw a roasted sweet potato flavored e-liquid, I was genuinely curious what it would taste like. Today, I’m bringing you a warm, wintry vape experience. "EARL" Roasted Sweet Potato flavor, 20ml black frosted glass bottle, 3mg nicotine, VG ratio unspecified.
Mod: SMOK G-PRIV 220W, SMOK OSUB mini
Cotton: Bacon
Atomizer: 528
Build: Alien Clapton 32G, 3.0mm inner diameter, 5 wraps, dual coil, 0.22Ω
Atomizer: Gobang
Build: A1 28G, 2.5mm inner diameter, 6 wraps, 1.4Ω
Right after opening the bottle, I got a light caramel aroma that felt a bit similar to popcorn. This time I also tested it with two different builds. On the Gobang at lower wattage, all the flavors seemed blended together, with the caramel and creamy notes not standing out much, while the sweet potato flavor came through strongly. On the 528 at higher wattage, the flavor layers became much more distinct. Exhaling through the nose brought out a slight caramel note and a faint creaminess, while after exhaling the vapor, the lingering aftertaste in the mouth had an authentic fresh sweet potato aroma. Overall, the profile felt richer this way. Most importantly, the sweet potato flavor itself is very realistic. I even got that faint “ginger-like” note you sometimes notice after eating sweet potato—I’m not really sure how else to describe it. I mentioned it to some friends, and some knew exactly what I meant, while others said they’d never tasted a “ginger-note sweet potato”…
Although "EARL" is a dessert-style e-liquid, it has only the slightest hint of sweetness—honestly, you could say it’s not sweet at all. The flavor is neither overly strong nor too light, and the aroma feels fairly natural, making it easy to vape for long sessions without getting tired of it.
With 3mg nicotine, the throat hit isn’t strong, and whether used in a tank or dripper, it doesn’t feel harsh on the throat. The e-liquid itself is a pale yellow color and very clear, with little coloring added. After several tankfuls, I didn’t notice much coil gunk buildup, which definitely deserves some praise.
