How Is Black Note E-liquid?
Black Note is a well-known classic American e-liquid brand. Its marketing has long emphasized a fully natural approach with no artificial additives, using naturally cold-extracted tobacco.
Black Note is considered a classic e-liquid that has been well-known for quite some time. The brand emphasizes that it is 100% natural, with no artificial additives, using natural tobacco cold extraction.
It has a very high reputation among foreign players and on various e-cigarette forums.
Therefore, I was very much looking forward to this benefit. The two flavors I received this time are Forte and Sonata from the series, which translate to "Reprise" and "Sonata" respectively.
Interestingly, these two words correspond to car models in China: the Kia Forte and the Hyundai Sonata.
The e-liquid is packaged in a hard cardboard cylindrical container, with the brand logo and seal printed on the front, a brief introduction to the flavor on the left side, and the producer's signature at the bottom.
The flavor of Forte is a blend of Virginia tobacco, while Sonata is a blend of Cavendish tobacco.
On the right side, there are some precautions and relevant information about the e-liquid.
You can see the nicotine content, batch number, total volume, and the VG/PG ratio of the e-liquid.
You can clearly feel the quality of the printed paper, and upon closer inspection, you can even see the printed staff lines, which aligns with the series name.
However, it is a bit disappointing that both flavors I received are 0mg.
Inside, you will find the common 30ml glass e-liquid bottle.
The printing on the bottle is basically the same as the outer packaging, but I did not find any Chinese information stickers or anti-counterfeiting measures on either the inside or outside.
I think if the e-liquid itself has too much printed information making it hard to find a place to cover, the inner edge of the cylindrical packaging would be a good choice.
I hope the distributor can improve this.
Removing the bottle, you can see that both flavors of e-liquid are a light yellow color, with Sonata being a bit darker.
The production date of the e-liquid can be found at the bottom of the bottle.
Returning to the main topic, since this is a 50/50 tobacco oil, the atomizer data I used for this trial are:
A1 wire, 3.0 wraps with 8 wraps, resistance about 1.0
And for the Galaxy mouth-to-lung drip oil, I used the original mouth-to-lung woven wire, resistance about 0.7
Considering that both flavors are 0mg, I also added a basic single coil dual-core Clapton with a resistance of 0.26.
Due to the difference in manufacturing processes, when I opened the bottle and dripped oil onto the cotton, I did not smell the e-liquid's flavor.
After getting closer and sniffing hard, I could detect a somewhat elusive woody scent, and both bottles of e-liquid were basically the same.
Testing with different atomizers, the performance of the e-liquid in both mouth-to-lung atomizers was quite consistent, with no noticeable change in flavor.
However, in the relatively low-resistance single coil, it was a bit difficult to distinguish the differences between the two flavors, so I will mainly describe the performance of the e-liquid in the mouth-to-lung setup.
Sonata: The flavor description is a blend of Cavendish tobacco, which is surprisingly smooth on the inhale, and you can clearly feel the roasted tobacco flavor. I don't have much contact with external tobacco, so it's hard to describe the flavor experience,
It is somewhat similar to salty biscuits soaked in milk, but with more burnt parts. When exhaling the smoke, the "salty biscuit" feeling becomes more pronounced, with less of the burnt part.
Overall, the sweetness is not very noticeable.
Forte: The smoke is milder on the inhale compared to Sonata, and the main flavor feels more like the "salty biscuit" performance in the later part of Sonata, with less burnt flavor compared to Sonata, making it overall softer.
When exhaling slowly, you can sense a lingering aroma similar to cereal, perhaps with a hint of creaminess~?
Overall, there is almost no sweetness.
Finally, regarding carbon buildup, this is the degree of carbon buildup on the A1 wire after vaping about 8ml of e-liquid. #p# pagination title #e#
Personally, I find it acceptable, as A1 is not very durable, and tobacco e-liquids are known for being wasteful in terms of coils.
To summarize my impressions of these two flavors of Black Note e-liquid, they are restrained and mild yet retain the tobacco flavor and richness, which is a very rare style in the world of strong tobacco-flavored e-liquids, and overall, there is not much thirst after vaping, which is also quite rare in traditional tobacco flavors.
E-liquids are subjective, and this is my personal experience with this e-liquid. I hope to have the opportunity to try it again next time.
