FOF Three Lifetimes Series E-liquid Review
Recently, there have been many reviews of e-liquids, and today I want to share with you the FOF Three Lifetimes series e-liquids produced in Taiwan.
1. Appearance Review
The packaging is a white flip-top box printed with the FOF logo and patterns of grape and orange leaves.
The back is printed with the English ingredients and warning text, indicating that it contains 25ml*3, which means three bottles of 25ml each.
Upon opening the lid, there are three green small boxes, each containing a bottle.
The three small boxes are printed with FOF, have a transparent window, allowing visibility of the blue bottle and gold cap.
The three bottles are very exquisite, resembling perfume or essential oil bottles. The flavors, from left to right, are grape, kumquat pu-erh, and tobacco tieguanyin.
2. Tracing the Source
The Chinese label is shown below, indicating the place of origin as Taiwan, 3mg, PG: VG 3:7, and other information, including customs codes, production dates, and distributors. We will verify these one by one.
Upon checking the distributor, there is information consistent with the label content, with a registered capital of 100,000 yuan and the authority to handle electronic products.
Upon checking the customs code, the code provided on the label does not seem to be a standard customs code; the standard is 18 digits. This is a product category code, which falls under the category of food flavoring.
After checking, I feel that there is nothing wrong, but I still feel unable to connect the e-liquid with the manufacturer, and the lack of anti-counterfeiting measures is unfortunate.
3. Aroma Review
Upon opening the bottle, the aroma of grape is very rich and sweet, reminiscent of grape soda. The kumquat pu-erh has a strong citrus peel scent. The tobacco tieguanyin has a typical tobacco aroma.
4. Mouth and Lung Inhalation Review
This time, the mouth inhalation test was conducted using the SMOANT CYLON device, with a Typhoon GT3 atomizer, dual-core Clapton coils wrapped 6 times, with a diameter of 2.5, and a resistance of 0.35Ω, using Muji cotton, in power mode at 50W.
The lung inhalation test was conducted using the SMOANT RANKER device, with a VLS dripping atomizer, dual-core Clapton coils wrapped 5 times, with a diameter of 3.0, and a resistance of 0.33Ω, using Muji cotton, in power mode at 51.8W.
1. Grape Flavor
The initial note is a strong grape aroma; the mid-note has a sweet grape flavor that becomes cooler; the aftertaste is a sweet and cool blend that gradually dissipates. I found it quite impressive! The degree of restoration to grape soda is very high! It is sweet but not cloying, refreshing, and the grape flavor is very strong. Coupled with large vapor production, the throat hit is comfortable, providing a strong sense of satisfaction! This is truly a great e-liquid; I can't stop!
2. Kumquat Pu-erh
In my imagination, this e-liquid should taste like “little green tangerines” (dried tangerine peels wrapped around pu-erh tea), but in reality, it is not. It tastes like green tea steeped with oranges, with a cooling sensation, not sweet or cloying, and the dried tangerine peel flavor is not prominent, leaning more towards the orange flavor, while the tea flavor is definitely green tea, not pu-erh. It is not impressive, but among many tea-flavored e-liquids, it is acceptable.
3. Tobacco Tieguanyin
The initial note is the flavor of tobacco e-liquid, with a slightly sweet mid-note, and the aftertaste has a lingering tobacco flavor with a hint of sweetness and cocoa. A friend smelled it and said, “Is that chocolate flavor?” I repeatedly experienced it and really couldn't detect any tea flavor, let alone tieguanyin tea. The throat hit is comfortable, and the tobacco oil attribute is clear.
5. Carbon Build-up Review
This is the condition after 15ml, with very little carbon build-up, in good condition.
6. Review Summary
Highlights:
- All three flavors have their own characteristics. For me, the grape flavor is excellent; if there were a standalone grape flavor, I would definitely buy it.
- The packaging reflects a thoughtful attitude, yet it is not extravagant.
- Large vapor production and authentic flavors. What you taste is what you get; for me, the grape, orange green tea, and cocoa tobacco flavors are all very distinct.
Drawbacks:
- The bottle packaging uses a button straw instead of a suction straw. I have repeatedly explored and researched, and now I can only suck up to a maximum of one-third of the straw's length of e-liquid, making it very difficult to refill; I can only pour it from the bottle mouth. The picture below shows the most I could suck up in one attempt, which is really disappointing.
- No anti-counterfeiting verification.
In summary, I think the FOF Three Lifetimes e-liquid, especially the grape flavor, is really excellent! It is rich, sweet, fragrant, refreshing, and restores the grape soda flavor very well! The kumquat pu-erh is a standard tea-flavored e-liquid, while the tobacco tieguanyin is a distinctly sweet tobacco oil. It produces a lot of vapor and has a comfortable throat hit.
For me, I really love grape-flavored e-liquids. If anti-counterfeiting measures could be implemented and the dropper improved, it would be nearly perfect e-liquid.
