With the improvement of pod technology, better sealing, pre-filled e-liquids to match power output to prevent unvaporized e-liquid from entering, and long chimney designs to promote condensation, the new generation of pod systems offers drier vapor, better flavor, and outstanding performance. Today, we bring you a review of the SKT Japanese pod vape.
1. SKT Japanese Pod Packaging
The packaging is very minimalist, with simple letters and lines. The black corner in the upper right reveals that its internal structure uses Ari-LEC technology (lateral air vortex), which we will verify later. Inside the packaging, the contents are again sealed in different small packages and embedded in foam material for stability. After removing all the packaging, the product list includes: 1 SKT pod device, 2 foil-sealed pods, 1 MicroUSB charging cable, and 1 user manual. The package includes 2 pods, both sealed in foil packaging, distinguished by different colors for flavor. Upon opening, each pod is also sealed with silicone plugs at the mouthpiece and air holes to ensure the best condition before use, a thoughtful little design.
2. SKT Japanese Pod Appearance

The SKT pod is black, and official information shows that it is available in red, pink, blue, and gray, totaling 5 colors. The main body is made of aluminum alloy with a matte spray paint finish, providing a good overall grip.
At the bottom of the device is an LED light, a small white light that lights up in a breathing pattern when vaping, also lights up when charging, and flashes when the battery is low, serving as a clear reminder. Above the LED light is the SKT brand logo, which is engraved and has a matte finish, giving it a delicate appearance.
In addition to the logo, there is a decorative line that runs across the front of the device, and the fine craftsmanship gives it a high-end feel. However, due to the matte finish, it easily collects dust, turning into a dirty gray line, which may require frequent cleaning for users with OCD.
The bottom of the pod features a standard MicroUSB charging port, with a built-in battery capacity of 380mAh. Generally, pod systems of this size have a battery capacity of around 250mAh, so the SKT's battery capacity is quite good. It charges quickly, taking about 45 minutes from completely empty to fully charged.
The mouthpiece at the top of the device is designed in an oval cylinder shape, providing a decent lip feel. The plastic molding process is good, with smooth details, and the connection is very tight. The front low and back high semi-circular arc design adds some dynamism to the device.
From the side, the edges taper, giving it a visually slim appearance. The overall structure is two-piece, with ignition control using an airflow valve switch. It automatically ignites when inhaling and stops when inhalation stops, closely mimicking the smoking experience, making it easy for beginners to use. A small hole can be seen on the side, which is the side air intake, related to its Ari-LEC technology (lateral air vortex). To ensure airflow resistance, there is only one hole on one side.
Looking at the cross-section, the two parts connect through two contact electrodes in the middle and two magnetic electrodes on the sides for fixation. However, the insertion is relatively tight, and the magnetic feel is not very pronounced, which provides double insurance for the connection. Due to the front high and back low design of the device's edge, the insertion is directional.
3. SKT Japanese Pod Cartridges
Let's take a closer look at the SKT pods. The kit includes 2 pods, pre-filled with 2 flavors of e-liquid, distinguished by color at the bottom seal. Official information indicates that there are currently 8 types of e-liquids available, allowing users to choose based on their flavor preferences.
Analyzing the structure of the SKT pod, at first glance, it appears to have a conventional pod structure, but upon closer inspection, its design is quite distinctive. For clarity, equa has created the following structural diagram, showing that the SKT uses a vertically positioned ceramic core design, which is closer to the structure of a finished atomizer core. For the typically low output power of pod systems, this direct airflow direction ensures better flavor; additionally, the SKT's vapor channel is relatively wide and long, reaching about 4 times the height of the atomizer core, which effectively prevents condensation and significantly enhances flavor.
The side view shows that the pod is also very thin, with a front high and back low stepped structure, allowing for a snug fit when inserted into the device. Furthermore, the air holes are designed at the side bottom clip, unlike typical pods that place them at the bottom, which is based on its Ari-LEC technology (lateral air vortex). This seemingly small change has indeed brought about a notable improvement in flavor, as detailed in the testing section. The mouthpiece opening is relatively large and long, matching its 9.5W output, and the performance is quite good.
4. SKT Japanese Pod Review Summary
Although the SKT pod's appearance is somewhat ordinary, its compatibility with e-liquids and the flavor performance is quite impressive. However, the extreme ice mint flavor pod has a slightly bitter taste, which I personally do not prefer.
