1. Both are revolutionary
Movies have been struggling to survive due to the rise of video games in the 70s and 80s, which delivered a fatal blow to the entire entertainment industry. Yes, video games didn’t kill movies and television, but starting in 2000, more people began to become "Microsoft disciples," "Sony dogs," and "Nintendo is God" supporters. Novels? Too long to read; movies? Bad films are painful to watch, and art films are boring, while American blockbusters are increasingly resembling video games.
E-cigarettes are undoubtedly also eating away at the big tobacco companies globally, and unlike gaming, which has been defined by the UN as a "mental illness" to some extent, e-cigarettes are increasingly recognized by officials as the best smoking cessation method.
2. Our jargon is hard to understand
In the Xbox and PS communities, many people have created their own jargon, just like in e-cigarettes, where people can always say things that others don’t understand when talking about that piece of wood or flashlight. On those "non-existent websites" (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), countless pages have spawned a group of social individuals who say things like "dripping is king" and "Dad, I want to sell e-cigarettes."
The gaming world has E3, while e-cigarettes have events like E-cigarette XPO, ECC, and IECIE that feel like electronic music festivals. Every physical store has local fans, giving rise to the next generation of bearded enthusiasts and figures like Grimm Green (and your mom probably doesn’t want you to go to those places, but there’s actually nothing wrong with it.)
3. We all love to burn data
Whether in e-cigarettes or online gaming forums, many people ask: "Can this data run XXX?" We all love to burn data (and consequently burn out a lot of devices; what’s the difference between your device being set up incorrectly and deleting the C drive without understanding the English? Speaking of which, why is it all in English? Can e-cigarettes come up with a system as good as Apple’s? No, because Apple’s system can’t play games — I seem to have suddenly realized something...)
