Shenzhen Requires Vape Firms to Sign Pledge Not to Sell to Minors

On July 6, news from the New Consumption Tracking reported that the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as the Electronic Cigarette Committee) announced that a signing ceremony for the "Pledge Not to Sell E-Cigarettes to Minors" will be held at 15:00 on July 12 (Monday) at the office of the Electronic Cigarette Committee, hoping that relevant e-cigarette companies will actively participate.
 
The Electronic Cigarette Committee stated that on June 18, the National Tobacco Monopoly Administration and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued a notice on the "Special Action Plan for Protecting Minors from Tobacco Harm: 'Guarding Growth'". To further protect minors from e-cigarettes and eliminate the sale of e-cigarettes to minors, the Shenzhen Market Supervision Bureau and the Shenzhen Tobacco Monopoly Bureau notified the Electronic Cigarette Committee to organize member companies to implement the spirit of the special action, conduct self-inspection and correction, and sign the "Pledge Not to Sell E-Cigarettes to Minors".
