RELX Launches Major Anti-Counterfeit Crackdown, Busts Multiple Fake E-Cig Rings
On Aug. 6, RELX announced first-phase results of its anti-counterfeit Golden Shield campaign, saying it helped police crack multiple fake vape cases and arrest several suspects over the past three months.
On August 6, RELX announced the results of the first phase of its "Golden Shield Action" against counterfeiting. Over the past three months, in cooperation with police in East and South China, multiple cases of e-cigarette counterfeiting and sales have been cracked, resulting in the arrest of several individuals involved in counterfeiting and the seizure of all counterfeit goods and sales records from the counterfeit production sites.

"Counterfeiting is a long and hard battle. For the safety of users and to honor those who believe in the RELX brand and product quality, we have built a team that can quickly coordinate with regulatory agencies and accurately combat counterfeiting. <\/span>As long as counterfeit products exist in the market, RELX will invest unlimited resources in combating them," said Wang Ying, founder and CEO of RELX. <\/span>
In response to counterfeiting and sales activities in the market, RELX has expanded its legal and intellectual property team sevenfold, with members coming from well-known high-tech companies such as Alibaba, Midea, ZTE, MediaTek, and CATL. <\/span>Whether targeting counterfeit production sites or online and offline sales channels, the RELX anti-counterfeiting team will accurately identify through various means and promptly report clues to the police, working together with law enforcement to strike hard against counterfeiting and sales activities. <\/span>
<\/span>As a well-known brand in China's e-cigarette industry, RELX, like other prominent brands, has also been troubled by counterfeit products. <\/span>The "Golden Shield Action" initiated by RELX aims to promote the healthy development of the industry and protect user safety through big data and technological support, in collaboration with police and regulatory agencies. <\/span>Counterfeit e-cigarettes entering the market not only harm the brands being counterfeited but also pose a significant threat to user health and experience. <\/span> <\/span>
