According to VnExpress, Vietnam will ban vaping next year.

On November 30, the National Assembly approved a measure banning the production, sale, import, storage, transport, and use of e-cigarettes starting in 2025.

Earlier, Health Minister Dao Hong Lan said e-cigarettes were “harmful to health” and needed to be banned. National Assembly delegates also agreed that policies to ban them and strictly monitor illegal sales were necessary.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised Vietnam’s move. On X, he wrote: “Congratulations to Viet Nam for this bold decision to protect its people, especially its youth, from the harms of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products.”
