According to Vietnam+, the Vietnamese Ministry of Health recently issued Notice No. 11/2023/TT-BYT, which specifies the areas where smoking is prohibited.<\/span><\/div>

This notice will take effect from August 1, 2023. <\/span><\/div>

According to the notice, smoking is completely prohibited in medical institutions, educational institutions, childcare and entertainment service facilities, high-risk fire or explosion facilities or places, as well as in vehicles, airplanes, and subways.<\/span><\/div>

Workplaces of national administrative agencies, state-owned units, enterprises, political organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations, social professional organizations, as well as dining service venues, entertainment venues, train stations, docks, and other public places such as public areas in conference centers, commercial centers, markets, theaters, cultural centers, cinemas, circuses, clubs, sports venues, stadiums, community houses, and apartment buildings are also prohibited from smoking indoors.<\/span><\/div>

Smoking will be prohibited indoors, but different areas in hotels, motels, guesthouses, resorts, and other tourist accommodations, as well as public transportation including ships and trains, bars, karaoke lounges, dance halls, and airport isolation areas may allow smoking.<\/span><\/div>
