According to Breaking Latest News citing Philip Morris International, approximately 2 million smokers in Italy have switched to IQOS.

“We are moving faster towards our goal of a smoke-free future by providing adult smokers who continue to quit with the best products made possible through years of research and development,” said Marco Hannappel, President of PMI Southwest Europe.
“Today, on one hand, we celebrate an important result: about 2 million smokers in Italy have switched to an effective non-combustible alternative and completely given up cigarettes; on the other hand, we are renewing our commitment, thanks to a new technology aimed at further simplifying the transition for the more resistant smokers.”
PMI recently launched IQOS iluma One in the Italian market.
“By the end of December, due to the launch of IQOS Iluma, we saw an increasing number of smokers switching to IQOS, completely abandoning traditional smoking,” said Gianluca Iannelli, Marketing and Digital Director of Philip Morris Italy. “With IQOS Iluma One, our goal is to persuade the most stubborn smokers to change their lifestyle, thanks to a simpler and more intuitive device.”
