BAT Study Shows Switching to GLO May Reduce Exposure to Toxicants
A study conducted by British American Tobacco (BAT), the manufacturer of GLO, indicates that smokers who quit and switched to GLO products “significantly reduced their exposure to certain toxic substances found in cigarette smoke.”
These results were collected over a three-month period. The study itself will last for a year. The purpose of this research is not only to observe the effects of GLO on former smokers but also to assess its impact on the public.
The study's findings indicate that, three months later, the levels of toxic substances still present in participants were similar to those of individuals who had completely quit smoking. Scientists at British American Tobacco hope this research will demonstrate that switching to GLO can reduce the risk of smoking-related diseases.
