Japan Starts Recycling glo and Ploom Devices, but Not IQOS
Japan Tobacco Association and others have implemented a recycling initiative for used heated tobacco products "glo" and "Ploom," which started in February. They have publicly announced the recycling stores.

The recycling initiative is initiated by the Japan Cigarette Association, with cooperation from Japan Tobacco (JT).

The Japan Tobacco Association has recycled various used devices of glo and Ploom, as well as some consumables, and appropriately recycles the devices brought in by users to the recycling stores.

The project was implemented in December 2019. Starting from February 1, it began to roll out in recycling stores and was announced on the Japan Tobacco Association's website, the glo official website, and the Ploom brand website.
