BAT to Launch Two New glo pro Heated Tobacco Products in Japan

BAT plans to launch the new glo pro and glo nano heated tobacco devices in Japan on October 3. glo pro introduces IH induction heating for faster, more precise heating than earlier models.
According to a Sept. 4 Japanese website, British American Tobacco plans to release the “glo” series of heated non-combustible device new products “glo pro” and “glo nano” on Oct. 3rd.


The “Glo Pro” is characterized by the fact that the heating speed has been increased by changing from heating with a small heater used in the previous unit to the first induction heating method in the series using IH. By adopting the IH, it is now possible to heat tobacco accurately and quickly, and in addition, it is equipped with two heating modes, “Normal Mode” and “Accelerated Mode”.

 

The “Glo Pro” can be recharged in about 90 minutes and can be used about 20 times on a full charge. In normal mode, heating is complete in about 20 seconds and can be vaped for about 4 minutes. In boost mode, heating is completed in approximately 10 seconds and can be used for approximately 3 minutes. The heating temperature in boost mode is approximately 280°C, which is higher than the “Glo Series 2” (240°C).
