Japan Tobacco’s Ploom S Launches New Tobacco Stick Flavors

Japan Tobacco (JT) recently announced on its official website that starting August 5, 2019, it will launch a new Ploom S tobacco stick flavor called “MEVIUS Purple Menthol.” Ploom S is a heated tobacco product. The new flavor will be rolled out gradually nationwide, bringing the total number of tobacco stick flavor options for Ploom S to four.

“We are pleased to announce the addition of a new member to the Ploom S tobacco stick lineup. ‘MEVIUS Purple Menthol’ is a menthol product with a berry aroma, incorporating JT’s latest proprietary Flavor Micro Chip (FMC) technology. These aroma microchips are blended with cut tobacco and release their fragrance when heated. This product allows consumers to enjoy a fresh, rich fruity aroma all the way to the last puff, delivering a pleasant taste and fragrance,” said Masanao Takahashi, Vice President of the Product and Brand Division of the Marketing Group.
