How to Spot Fake lil Plus Devices?

Since lil became popular in Korea, counterfeit lil, lil plus, and lil mini devices have appeared on the market. This guide explains how to spot fake lil Plus products and avoid knockoffs.
Since Korea’s KT&G released LIL, its market share has continued to grow. In third-party satisfaction surveys in China, LIL ranked first and IQOS ranked second. As a device with the highest satisfaction rating, it was inevitable that counterfeit manufacturers in China would target it, so sellers in Shenzhen launched 1:1 counterfeit versions of the LIL, lil plus, and lil mini.

I really hate counterfeit products, so I wanted to write an article to help everyone identify fakes. Based on the device appearance and packaging, it is now basically impossible to tell real from fake. That said, it’s not completely hopeless—there are still flaws in the packaging that can reveal a fake. I won’t go into the other accessories, but the cotton swabs are a weak point for fake LIL products. If the cotton swabs included with the LIL you purchased do not have the LIL logo, then it is definitely fake—trust me.

You can’t identify authenticity from the inside unless you open the device, but I still disassembled one to show you the internal motherboard and compare it with a genuine one. In the end, my advice is simple: don’t buy products like this on Taobao. Since vaping devices are not allowed to be sold there, many dishonest sellers just buy a random storefront and sell counterfeits as genuine products. And above all, don’t be tempted by low prices!
