FIIT Launches Six New Flavors in Korea
Since Philip Morris International launched the heated tobacco device IQOS in Japan, the entire heated tobacco industry has drawn increasing attention. KT&G, another major South Korean tobacco company, responded quickly: in 2017, KT&G officially launched its self-developed heated tobacco device lil in the Korean market, and the dedicated capsule-style FIIT tobacco sticks were also officially introduced. Because these tobacco sticks feature unique flavor capsules and offer rare flavors beyond the usual classic and menthol options, they have been highly sought after by consumers. At present, FIIT offers Yogurt Capsule, Lemon Capsule, Hami Melon Capsule, and Almond Capsule varieties. In September, six new flavors were also launched: Sweet Rich Original, Mint Orange, Bubble Gum, Mint Candy, Grapefruit Capsule, and Mint. However, it remains unclear how the market has responded.
