Sichuan Tobacco Kuanzhai Original Tobacco Stick Review
This review covers Sichuan Tobacco’s Kuanzhai Original heated tobacco sticks, describing the latest version’s flavor profile as somewhere between different Marlboro-style tastes.
On December 21, 2017, Sichuan Tobacco launched its “Kuanzhai (Bullet)” heated tobacco product in the Seoul area of South Korea. By now, I have no idea which revision the version in my hands is—every update has brought some improvement in flavor. The one I have now is the latest original flavor.

Enough small talk—let’s get straight to the taste and smoking experience. Most people have probably tried Marlboro tobacco sticks. Kuanzhai Original sits somewhere between Marlboro Rich Original and Smooth Original. The biggest difference from Marlboro is that Marlboro tobacco sticks don’t really give you much tobacco leaf flavor when smoked, while Kuanzhai has a distinct cured tobacco taste.
