VPO Cyberpunk Series


On December 29, 2020, the VPO Cyberpunk series was officially launched. The founder and chief product manager of VPO, Hao Xiaomeng, released a lengthy article titled "What I Want to Say About the VPO Cyberpunk Series," discussing the design intentions of this new series. One passage caught the interest of consumers:
"Different stages of people will have different understandings of this product; ordinary consumers will like it, and high-end consumers will not disdain it, because the same product is perceived differently by them."
For products that have always been labeled as fast-moving consumer goods, the core design philosophy of brands has been to seek the "greatest common divisor" in appearance. In comparison, VPO's idea seems more like a Marvel movie, where casual viewers can feel the adrenaline rush from stunning effects, while Marvel fans can find joy in the numerous Easter eggs that connect the Marvel cinematic universe.
In this regard, Hao Xiaomeng also made an analogy: If the design depth of this product has 100 layers, one can only feel 50 layers through images and text, perhaps 70 layers through live video, and only by physically touching and seeing the actual product can one basically feel 85 layers...
Skeptical as we are, we also got our hands on the actual product to discuss how many layers we actually experienced.
