Philip Morris International (PMI) has announced the launch of the IQOS ILUMA i Galaxy Blue limited-edition heated tobacco device. Built around the concept of “Imagine an Endless Journey,” the IQOS ILUMA i Galaxy Blue draws its design inspiration from the mystery of space and its infinite possibilities. The blue charger symbolizes the deep night sky of outer space, while the side features brilliant colors resembling countless stars. This limited-edition device comes in specially designed packaging and has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of 6,980 yen ($46).
PMI has also launched the TEREA Clear Regular heated tobacco stick designed for IQOS ILUMA devices. TEREA Clear Regular offers a smooth, balanced taste with a delicate mouthfeel and a clean finish.
PMI said that regular-flavor heated tobacco sticks have lower penetration than menthol and flavored tobacco sticks, but consumers appear to use regular tobacco sticks more frequently than menthol and flavored varieties. PMI believes there is still room for growth in the regular tobacco stick segment.
TEREA Clear Regular is the sixth regular variant in the TEREA lineup, which previously introduced TEREA Rich Regular, TEREA Regular, TEREA Smooth Regular, TEREA Balanced Regular, and TEREA Warm Regular. With the addition of TEREA Clear Regular, the TEREA series now has 25 regular variants in Japan.
