Malaya Business Insight, citing an assessment report from the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA), said that 5 of the 10 countries in Southeast Asia have banned e-cigarettes and e-cigarette products.
According to SEATCA, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, and Thailand have banned the sale and use of e-cigarettes.
Myanmar and Vietnam have no ban, while Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines regulate e-cigarettes. SEATCA has urged countries to strictly regulate the product.
