The center features laboratories, production offices, technical rooms, and 12 new production lines for heated tobacco products, making British American Tobacco the first company in the tobacco industry to distribute a full range of new category products in Italy.<\/span><\/div>

The center also includes a digital boutique and innovation lab, focusing on digital transformation, sustainability, and open innovation through external collaborations and partnerships.<\/span><\/div>

The new integrated building was completed in 21 months and designed according to advanced sustainability standards. It uses 100% renewable energy, aiming for carbon neutrality certification by early 2024.<\/span><\/div>

Photovoltaic and biomass power plants will meet most of the energy needs of this complex, with the remaining energy sourced from certified sustainable suppliers.<\/span><\/div>

It is estimated that the innovation center will create 2,700 jobs in the future, including 600 direct jobs and an additional 2,100 jobs in the local and national economy and supply chain. British American Tobacco Italy has collaborated with about 400 companies in its agricultural supply chain, employing over 6,000 people.<\/span><\/div>
