Heated Tobacco Stick Market Sees a Short-Term Uptick
Recently, tea cigarettes, also known as heated non-combustion tobacco sticks, have quietly emerged in February and March. These products are independently developed by private enterprises and can be used with heated non-combustion devices. Currently, they are not subject to tobacco monopoly regulations.

Some heated non-combustion tobacco sticks use tea leaves, ginkgo leaves, and flowers, while others contain tobacco extracts, some with nicotine and some without any tobacco-related materials. The difference from heated tobacco sticks lies in whether tobacco is used as the base material.
According to industry sources, the average monthly volume of heated non-combustion tobacco sticks is around 30,000 units. Previously, they mainly targeted overseas markets in Japan, South Korea, and Europe, but during the pandemic, some brands have started a domestic trend. Industry insiders believe that the heated non-combustion tobacco sticks will soon see a small surge.
