IQOS Launches 'Smoke-Free City' Project in South Korea

Philip Morris Korea has launched a “Smoke-Free City” project in Daegu and North Gyeongsang, promoting its vision of a smoke-free future through year-end activities and public engagement.
    Philip Morris Korea announced on November 4 that it has launched a project to advance its vision of a smoke-free future in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province. The "Smoke-Free City" project will continue until the end of this year. "A smoke-free future is not just a motto for our company’s vision," said Philip Morris Korea's Chief Editor, Jang I-woo, in a statement.<\/span>


Through our projects in Daegu and North Gyeongsang, we aim to transparently provide scientific information to consumers and stakeholders and create a progressive environment that protects everyone." As the company’s first project in the region, its employees will visit major public places and business districts in Daegu to consult on establishing its "vaping rooms," spaces dedicated to heated tobacco products and e-cigarettes.<\/p>

It is finalizing plans to establish vaping rooms in public places frequently used by citizens in Daegu. Suitable spaces will also be selected in apartments and residential areas in Daegu and North Gyeongsang to support the setup of vaping rooms.<\/p>
