lil HYBRID Unboxing and Review: Oil Pods Plus Tobacco Sticks
KT&G’s lil HYBRID combines oil pods with tobacco sticks, creating a mixed flavor experience. The device launched alongside MIIX pods made specifically for this heated tobacco system.
In November, South Korean tobacco manufacturer KT&G released a new heated tobacco device, the lil HYBRID, on Monday. It is the first device to combine heated oil pods with heated tobacco sticks to create a mixed flavor experience. Along with the device, KT&G also launched MIIX pods designed specifically for it. MIIX comes in three different varieties: Miix Presso, Miix Mix, and Miix Ice. The pods do not contain any added flavorings. In the editor's opinion, this is currently one of the most versatile devices on the market.

The oil pod section clips onto the device. When installing it, make sure to remove the plastic cover on top of the pod first.
In terms of operation, it is basically the same as other devices, so I won't go into detail here. The key feature of this device is that it heats the oil pod and the tobacco stick at the same time, and this design produces a very large amount of vapor.
On the right are the MIIX tobacco sticks. The lil HYBRID usesa heating chamber, similar to GLO, with neither a heating blade nor a heating pin. Therefore, the bottom of the tobacco stick is hollow with a triangular shape, and the tobacco section has small holes. The hollow structure and holes help the oil vapor mix better with the aerosol produced by heating the tobacco stick. I bought the melon mint version, and the overall taste feels like FIIT melon flavor, except with noticeably more vapor.

Summary: The lil HYBRID is probably the only device in the world that combines oil vapor and tobacco sticks at the same time. Because the heated oil pod adds atomized vapor, it produces much more vapor than IQOS or a standard LIL device. You do not necessarily have to buy dedicated MIIX tobacco sticks for this device — Kuanzhai or Marlboro sticks can also be used. After the device starts up, just lift the tobacco stick by about 1 cm. The oil pod can also be refilled with your favorite e-liquid using a syringe, allowing you to DIY your own preferred flavors.
