A teardown of the Ferrari Edition IQOS suggests a key upgrade in the blade structure, now using a two-layer design. The change may help reduce heat impact on the mainboard compared with older models.
Ever since IQOS released the pink version and the Ferrari edition, it has claimed that the device was upgraded. To show everyone exactly what was improved, I specifically bought one and tore it down for a closer look.
The photos show the details. Some of it may be hard to understand, but the upgrade is in the heating blade, which has been changed to a two-layer design. Before the upgrade, the heating blade was too close to the mainboard, creating high temperatures that the IC on the board could not handle well. After this IQOS upgrade, there should be far fewer after-sales issues.
