Yunnan China Tobacco Launches MC Heated Tobacco Trial Sales in Korea

Yunnan China Tobacco has signed a distribution agreement to begin trial sales of its MC heated tobacco sticks in Korea, marking the brand’s entry into the Korean market.

On April 16, Yunnan Tobacco International Co., Ltd. and Korea IF Tobacco Co., Ltd. signed a distribution agreement in Kunming for the “MC” brand of low-temperature heat-not-burn cigarettes, marking the official entry of Yunnan China Tobacco’s first batch of heated tobacco trial products into the Korean market.

Low-temperature heat-not-burn cigarettes are a future development trend in the global next-generation tobacco sector. Through five years of effort and continuous product innovation, Yunnan China Tobacco has achieved a leading position in next-generation tobacco R&D in China.

At the beginning of 2018, Yunnan China Tobacco established a dedicated next-generation tobacco task force. In line with the task force’s deployment, the international company has focused on market development and, through active partner searches and broad recruitment efforts, has so far secured five prospective distributors. Its main target markets include Cambodia, Ukraine, Russia, Japan, and Canada.
